Wild Iris

Every spring we look forward to seeing the Wild Iris bloom in our mountain meadows. Their delicate beauty covers the ground in a blanket of purple. Though they only last a short time, the impact of their beauty lasts a long time.
This pendant was inspired by the first of the Wild Iris that I saw this spring, here in the meadow at the shore of our lake with a backdrop of the alpine peaks in the distance

"I’m going to give you a handful of wildflowers

so, each petal that falls will remind you

that the earth breathes, and the moon rises."
